No ESP projects implemented in Bonnington South

Parliament has learnt that there were no projects implemented under the Economic Stimulus Programme (ESP) in Gaborone Bonnington South.
Answering a question in Parliament on Monday, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Sethabelo Modukanele said through NDP 11 co-funding with World Bank, Gaborone Bonnington South benefited from Urban Road Infrastructure projects, which were on-going.
“The projects included upgrading of road intersections along KT Motsete Drive (Western Bypass), upgrading of Lobatse Road (Game City Circle) and Kudumatse Drive (Rainbow Circle),” said Mr Modukanele. He said the projects were implemented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and were expected to be completed by the next financial year.
Still under NDP 11, Mr Modukanele said the constituency had benefited from construction of a new primary school in Phase IV through Economic Recovery and Transformation Plan (ERTP).
He said the project had since commenced and progressing well. It was expected to be completed by November.
The Member of Parliament for Gaborone Bonnington South, Mr Christian Greef had asked the minister to appraise the house on projects carried out under the Economic Stimulus Package (ESP) and the Development Plan (NDP) 11 in the Gaborone Bonnington South Constituency. ENDs
