BDF investigates Mozambique-based soldiers death

Botswana Defence Force (BDF) has launched an investigation to determine the cause of an incident that has resulted in the death of a soldier deployed in Mozambique.
According to a BDF media release, the soldier died on Wednesday in Mueda, Cabo Delgado Province.
The deceased was part of the second Botswana contingent deployed under the auspices of SADC Mission in Mozambique (SAMIM) in support of the country’s efforts to combat threats of terrorism and acts of violent extremism in its Cabo Delgado Province.
BDF requests the public to accord the deceased’s family and friends the privacy they deserve during this difficult time. BOPA
