Kweneng District Council chairperson, Mr Motlhophi Leo has sworn-in four newly elected councillors during a special full council session on Wednesday.

The development is a result of the recent by-elections in four of Kweneng District Council wards that fell vacant following the death of the incumbent councillors.

They new comers are, Mr Victor Moremi of Metsimotlhabe, Mr Simon Moipolai of Ledumadumane East, Mr Court Tolobu of Lentsweletau West and Mr Malaki Maphale of Motokwe.

In his remarks, Mr Leo advised the newly elected councillors to take time to acquaint themselves with the rules and regulations of Kweneng District Council so that they could deliberate issues from an informed point of view
“Don’t limit yourselves in getting knowledge that can help you grow and be able to properly represent the will and aspiration of your electorate,” Mr Leo advised. ENDS
