President Masisi to participate in the 2022 Africa Business Forum

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will today participate in the 2022 Africa Business Forum where he will deliver a statement which will among others highlight the measures that Botswana has put in place to revive the air transport and tourism sectors, following the adverse impact of COVID-19.
A press release from the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation, says President Masisi will also inform the forum on investment opportunities that are available in Botswana during his address.
This year's forum will bring together Heads of States, private sector leaders and other stakeholders under the theme, “Investing in a Multimodal Transport Infrastructure to Optimize the Benefits of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA): A Focus on Air Transport and Tourism.”
Africa Business Forum is convened annually to promote dialogue between Africa’s public and private sectors, with a view to enhance collective efforts aimed at realising Agenda 2063-The Africa We Want, and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
"The Forum will be held in a hybrid format on the margins of the 35th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly of Heads of States and Government," says the release .
The President’s delegation will include Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation Dr Lemogang Kwape, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Mr Mmusi Kgafela, and senior government officials. BOPA
