Stop being copycats
01 Feb 2022
Young people have been encouraged not to copy businesses already existing and look into untapped areas.
By so doing, they would grow the economy and secure their future, which was not possible if they took to copying existing work.
The advise came from Molepolole Administrative Authority Assistant district Commissioner, Ms Maitumelo Maemo during a youth forum held on Monday at Ntlooelengwae Ward in Molepolole.
She said youth should think wisely about businesses they want to venture into and advised them to work in groups to increase their chances of success.
She said by associating, young people could focus on their areas of expertise, resulting in quality goods and services that would be appreciated by the market.
Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Development, District Youth Officer, Mr Tlamelo Tsebe said young people should love and be passionate about businesses they wanted to try their hand at, so that they did not easily lose hope when challenges arose.
He said patience was a winning formula when making business proposals for consideration in programmes as Youth Development Fund and Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency.
Ntlooelengwae Ward councillor, Mr Mokwaledi Mokwenaotsile explained that the forum sought to encourage youth to participate in economic activities. Ends
