Police investigate suicide of 72-year-old

Police in Francistown are investigating an incident in which a 72-year-old man was found hanging in his house in Monarch on Saturday.
Central Police Station Commander, Superintendent Lebalang Maniki confirmed the incident, saying they found the deceased hanging from the rafters of his house. He said the deceased was found by his son who reported the matter to other relatives, adding that the deceased did not leave any message why he took his life.
He said the deceased was certified dead at Area W Clinic.
Superintendent Maniki noted that the police had already registered three cases of suicide this year and that all the victims were men of different ages. ENDS
