Kgosi Dingalo dies

Kgosi Molatedi Dingalo of Shorobe in the North West District has died aged 69 after a long illness.
A family spokesperson, Mr Tshematshe Monwela said he died last Friday at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital in Francistown. Kgosi Dingalo, who was a senior chief’s representative, served as Shorobe headman since 1972 following the passing on of his father.
Mr Monwela said Kgosi Dingalo was an important figure in the traditional leadership of Batawana.
He said it was in recognition of his leadership acumen that kgosi Dingalo was appointed overseer for the entire Ngamiland region in 1994, which positionhe held until his demise.
It was in his leadership role that“He draped Kgosi Tawana Moremi with a lion skin upon his installation as Batawana chief in 1995,” he said.
Kgosi Dingalo leaves behind wife and three children, two men and one woman. ENDS
