President Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama is expected to officiate at the Botswana Defence Force (BDF) Commissioning Parade of intake 36 of 2012/2013 at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks on November 8.

The President is also expected to award certificates to deserving officer cadets in recognition of their exceptional performance in different fields during the basic officer cadet training.

A press release from the BDF stated that 60 officer cadets who started training in October last year at Force Training Establishment will be commissioned to officers of the rank of Second Lieutenant. The release also stated that among those commissioning will be 11 officer cadets from the SADC region; four from the South African National Defence Force, four from the Lesotho Defence Force and three from the Namibia Defence Force. It will also include nine female officers.  ENDS
