Bakgatla Queen mother passes on

Bakgatla-ba-Kgafela Queen Mother Mmarakau Kgafela, popularly known as MmaSeingwaeng has died.
She passed on today at Sidilega Private Hospital, where she had been hospitalised for a brief period.
“We can confirm that the queen mother has passed on. In that it happened today, there is really not much we can say now, except that funeral arrangement are ongoing and we shall update the nation in due course” said Bakgatla deputy chief, Kgosi Bana Sekai.
Mma Seingwaeng has been the tribe's pillar since her marriage to Kgosikgolo Linchwe II in 1966.
She is survived by her daughter Seingwaeng and sons Kgosikgolo Kgafela, Bakgatle and Mmusi, who is the current minister of Investment ,Trade and Industry. She was 79. Ends
