Moonlite casino promotes gaming

16 Jan 2022

There is a lot of misinformation floating around the casino world.

Those with the gambling experience would talk about the positive aspects while for the detractors, it is all destructive.

It was against such a backdrop that Moonlite Casino management recently took the media on a tour to shed light about their establishment, which opened its doors in 2019.

The tour  was also meant to showcase the casino’s one of a kind gaming slots and further give journalists better understanding of the gaming world.
Situated in one of Gaborone’s exclusive shopping centres, the casino  features live tables, slot machines, video poker, progressive slots and electronic roulette.

In an interview, the casino’s marketing manager, Ms Lizzy Molabi said the aim of the tour was to reintroduce and sensitise the public about Moonlite as well as offer first-hand experience of the gaming world post lockdown.

Ms Molabi said the COVID-19 pandemic had negatively impacted their operations, which led to the temporary closure of the casino, adding that they reopened last year.

“When the world started to function again and co-exist with COVID-19, we decided to also resume and intensify our business model,” she said.

She added that they were to introduce special promotions and give-aways to the value of P1 million for a period of six months as a way of giving back to the community.

She further stated that they were also planning to introduce a ‘party bus’ for their clients, which would be designed with fun and adventure in mind.

She explained that the party bus concept would be the first of its kind in the country, complete with luxurious amenities, music and plenty of room on the dance floor.

“The party bus will pick up our clients from their destination of choice and drop the off at the casino at different intervals, which we hope will offer them a unique experience,” she said.

That, she said was one of the ways Moonlite would demonstrate its commitment to its patrons and provide them with a premium experience.

“We want to extend our services even outside the casino and the party bus will be the perfect incentive for our clients,” she added.

Again, she said they promoted responsible gaming and warned people about getting into debt.

“At Moonlite Casino we want all of our guests to have fun and to enjoy our property safely.

While the majority of guests enjoy various forms of gambling and non-gambling amenities responsibly, for a small percentage of the population, gambling could become more than just a game, with serious consequences for both the gambler and their family,’’ she said. Ends
