Lotlhakane East celebrates Christmas with horse race

A total of 13 horses from Lotlhakane, Gasita and Gasegwagwa participated in the first ever horse race held in Lotlhakane East, Southern District, on Christmas day. The horses competed in the 400m, 800m, 1m and 1.2km categories. The event organiser, Tirelo Rantsilane said the self-sponsored event was not only intended to provide entertainment for residents, but to also encourage people to learn about horses and their management. He said he intended to grow the event and eventually host it twice in a year. End
