Mmusi visits troops in Mozambique

Minister of Defence, Justice and Security, Mr Kagiso Mmusi paid a three-day visit to Botswana troops in Mozambique in the Cabo Delgado area to convey a message of gratitude to troops and to boost their morale.
Botswana is in Mozambique as part of a Southern African Development Community mission (SAMIM) together with South Africa, Angola, Malawi, DRC, Tanzania, Zambia and Lesotho.
The mission involves recapturing villages dislodging terrorists from their bases, seizing weapons and warfare to create a secure environment.
Mr Mmusi said SADC was determined to contribute in neutralising the threat, and restoring security, in order to create a secure environment and ensure return of law and order in Cabo Delgado.
The minister also met with his Mozambique counter part, Mr Cristovao Chume and visited Pemba to donate Christmas hampers to the soldiers.ENDS
