Voting going well at Tamasane ward

Voting is said to be going well at Tamasane ward in the Mmadinare Constituency. Assistant Returning Officer Ms Eteng Kgomela said in an interview that voting started on time at 630 a.m and is expected to end at 7p.m.
She said 670 voters are expected to cast their vote at Tamasane Primary school polling Station whilst 92 voters were expected at Maotokgonyane polling Station.
Three candidates are currently contesting for the seat, being Mr Motsholathebe Oduetse of the BDP, David Ikanyeng of Botswana Patriotic Front and the Independent Candidate Mr Okgethile Ditsheko.
The by-election follows the death of the Councillor Kagiso Oduetse who won the seat under the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) ticket in 2019. Ends
