Holy Ghost Broadhurst United share spoils

It was a fierce battle when Holy Ghost and Broadhurst United locked horns in a Debswana First Division League- South encounter that ended with goalless draw Saturday.
Both teams played their first games on November 24 where Broadhurst United accumulated a point, while Holy Ghost lost the league opener.
Consquently, Broadhurst now have two points while Holy Ghost bagged their first point from the Saturday meeting.
The game, which started at a slow pace, began to gain momentum just before half time to the excitement of spectators.
Both teams conceded a number of corner and free kicks but failed to utilise them.
In an interview after the game, Holy Ghost assistant coach, Goitseone Mompati, indicated that he was happy with his side’s performance even though they failed to score.
He said the team was slowly getting back into shape.
“I am hopeful that the third game will be far much better than this one,” he said.
Mompati said the first two games were a valuable lesson to them as they managed to see where they needed to focus their attention.
For his part, Broadhurst United assistant coach, Oteng Moalosi, said he was not disappointed by their second draw as the boys were getting to understand each other.
“We have a lot of talented new faces, so they are slowly getting to know each other,” he said.
He said their road to premiership was clear.
“We just have to go back to the drawing board and rectify our shortcomings,” he said. He urged supporters to attend in large numbers as the team needed them to succeed. ENDS
