BSA special general meeting tomorrow
25 Nov 2021
Botswana Softball Association (BSA) will on Saturday hold a special general meeting (SGM) in Palapye.
The SGM will be the first to be held since the election of the current National Executive Committee (NEC), which was elected during the annual general meeting (AGM) in April.
In an interview yesterday, BSA public relations and marketing officer, Boingotlo Marope, said the SGM would focus on the BSA constitutional review proposal.
She said financial overview would also be part of the overall meeting agenda items that would be discussed during the sitting.
Additionally, she stated that further evaluation would be done on the proposed league structure for adoption ahead of the season opening, which was intended to resume in January 2022.
This would be an engagement session where all would have a say on how they wanted the league to be run, she said.
Moreover, she said, the meeting would elect the new public relations and marketing officer since the current one was appointed temporarily.
The appointment came after resignation of Jonas Letsweletse, a few weeks after being appointed to the position, she said.
Marope said the meeting would further give an update on the BSA activities scheduled for the coming season.
Meanwhile, Marope explained that the senior men national team would be going on a selection camp on November 27-28 ahead of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) - World Championship qualifiers in South Africa. The games will be held on February 11 to 13, 2022. ends
