Govt to consider overhead bridge during NDP12

An overhead footbridge crossing the Western Bypass between Gaborone Block 5 and Gaborone West Phase 1 was not included in NDP 11/ UDP 4 due to budgetary constraints.
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Setlhabelo Modukanele said the ministry, through Gaborone City Council, would consider including the project together with other competing priorities during NDP 12/ UDP 5, funds permitting.
Gaborone Bonnington South MP, Mr Christian Greeff had asked if there were any plans to construct an overhead footbridge to facilitate the safety of learners and other pedestrians crossing the Western Bypass between Gaborone Blocks 5 and Gaborone West Phase 1. Ends
