The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development is not aware that the headman of arbitration for Xhosa 1 ward has gone for over two years without remuneration, says assistant minister, Mr Kgotla Autlwetse. 

Mr Autlwetse said he was aware that the said post had been vacant for the past two years, and that there was no one performing bogosi duties in the ward to be remunerated as a consequence.

He said there was no brutality and disrespect to anyone because the position alluded to was vacant.

He said as such there was no one owed any remuneration, and that the question of when he would be paid did not arise.

Mahalapye East MP, Mr Yandani Boko had asked the minister if he was aware that the headman of arbitration for Xhosa 1 ward in his constituency had gone for a period in excess of two years without remuneration. He also wanted to know when he would be paid all his dues and what had been the cause of the delay. Ends
