President Masisi meets European leaders

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi arrived in Brussels yesterday on a three-day working visit to Belgium and the European Union.
An Office of the President media release says Dr Masisi is scheduled to meet with Organisation of African, Caribbean and Pacific States secretary general, Dr Georges Chikoti, after which he will address a special session of the organisation.
The President will also pay a courtesy call on Belgium’s King Phillipe.
According to the release, President Masisi’s other meetings include with European Union Council president Mr Charles Michel, vice president of the EU Commission and EU high representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Mr Joseph
Fontelles. The President is expected to conclude his visit to Belgium with interviews by journalists Dr Mayelline Dee Lara of Diplomat Magazine and Benjamin Fox of Euractiv.
The release says Dr Masisi will also undertake a one-day visit to the United Kingdom for the Global Prosperity Index launch at London’s Legatum Institute.
It says the visit includes a round-table meeting with a group of potential investors.
Also in the President’s entourage are University of Botswana, Botswana International University of Science and Technology as well as Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources vice chancellors. Ends
