Meanwhile France Ambassador Ms Laurence Beau has assured companies interested in doing business in Botswana of the embassy’s support.
Ambassador Beau pledged to facilitate all those who might want to visit Botswana to explore opportunities across all sectors.
She said Botswana had great potential and a lot to offer any investor across all sectors
Ms Beau said Botswana needed to diversify the economy and create jobs which could be made possible by investors setting up in the country.
For his part, Botswana Investment and Trade Center (BITC) chief executive officer, Mr Kelotsositse Olebile said some French investors wanted assurance before undertaking any visit to Botswana.
He expressed the hope that Ambassador Beau’s assurances had sufficed.
Mr Olebile said Botswana’s stability and peaceful environment was an incentive for investors.
He noted that most of the companies which had shown interest in Botswana were in the energy, security, agriculture and publishing sectors.
BITC, he said, would facilitate businesses that would be investing in Botswana and stood a good chance of expanding to other countries in the region. ENDS
