Kazungula Police intercept suspected stolen vehicles

Police recently intercepted two motor vehicles at Kazungula one-stop-border post.
A news release from Botswana Police says the two vehicles, a Toyota Hilux and Mercedes Benz, both valued at over P1 million, are suspected to have been stolen in South Africa and were destined for other countries through the Kazungula border post.
The release further says two suspects, Abraham Fredrick Moulder, a South African national and Happiness Chewe of Zambia were arrested at the Kazungula border post after being found in possession of a Toyota vehicle suspected to be stolen outside Botswana.
The men were arraigned before Kasane Magistrate Court on Monday, November 08, 2021 and their next mention will be on November 22, 2021.
Meanwhile, the release says Mahlomola Elias Mphirima, also a South African national, appeared before Kasane Magistrate Court on November 10, 2021, for being found in possession of goods stolen outside Botswana.
The accused person was on November 08, 2021 found in possession of a Mercedes Benz believed to be stolen, while trying to cross at Kazungula border post. ends
