Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr Mabuse Pule, has told Ntlo ya Dikgosi that there are 16 vacancies for teaching staff in Kgalagadi North region.

Answering a question recently, Mr Pule said out of the 16 vacant posts, six were D band, two at primary level and four at secondary level while 10 positions were at C band in secondary schools.

“Out of the 16 vacancies, 15 have already been appointed and await the assumption of duty of officers.

The outstanding vacancy is for the post of senior teacher I guidance and counselling on D4 at Lehututu Junior Secondary School which is being processed and is expected to be filled within a week,” he said.

Kgosi Moeti Monyamane of Kgalagadi North region had asked the Minister of Basic Education to appraise Ntlo ya Dikgosi on the number of vacant posts for teaching staff in Kgalagadi North and when the posts would be filled. ENDS
