The Maun-based Fountain One Business company has been hailed for playing a key role in attracting investors to Botswana.

Several entrepreneurs showered the company with accolades during its business launch gala dinner held at Nhabe Museum in Maun on Tuesday.

The company, which has been in the business relations with consultancy field for almost five years, was reported to be doing well both locally and internationally.   The entrepreneurs also expressed appreciation for the company’s willingness to work with all business categories be it small, medium and large scale.

They said the company was eager to help local businesses to identify business opportunities, offered management and right techniques mentorship.

Some entrepreneurs with experience of working with the company gave testimonies.

One of them, Mr Gosiame Hendrik, who had worked with the company since 2016, testified to its good record and capacity to help businesses grow and contribute meaningfully to the economy.

The company, he said, was also committed to help in creation of employment opportunities for citizens.

Mr Hendrik said Botswana had a lot to offer in terms of resources and if citizens utilised services offered by the company, they would be motivated to work hard and produce things for themselves and eventually reduce imports.

He also stated that COVID-19 pandemic had taught Batswana not to be spectators in their country.

Mr Danisani Nkgakile of Maun’s Fayroux Company concurred saying lessons from the pandemic included unity, taking ownership and creating employment for others adding that gone were the days where government was expected to provide everything.

Time, he said, had come for all to share ideas, exploit their talents and opportunities that come their way in order to survive and succeed.

Mr Nkgakile thanked Fountain One Business Company for availing services to both existing and aspiring entrepreneurs to help them succeed in business.

Earlier, company’s chief executive officer Dr Reetsang Bayei said it aimed to transform and reshape business structures in the country by providing the right organisational skills and attract foreign investment.

He said the company believed the country’s future belonged to specialised services.

Dr Bayei said the company would be focusing on several industries such as manufacturing, tourism, agriculture, health, education, innovation and technology.

The company’s intention was to work closely with both government and the private sector to reshape the sectors by attracting foreign investment.

Describing the company as a secretarial body, he said it currently had 72 companies in its  database.

He explained that it had created networks with many foreign companies which had shown interest in Botswana and would act as a middleman between local businesses and investors.

Emphasising the importance of networking, he said it delivered more returns on investment.

“We want you to invest wisely and grow our economy and we will ensure that all the international investors secured are authentic,” he said.

Dr Bayei said the company planned to have a recruitment platform where young people would be used as business ambassadors.

He revealed that some embassies such as Britain and South Africa had been approached in an effort to establish working relations.

The company would work with small, medium and large scale enterprises to help them bring their business dreams into reality and ensure they penetrated the global market.ends
