Double Action in semi finals

Double Action have reached semifinals of the inaugural CAF Women’s Championships League qualifier.
The team thrashed Lesotho Defense Force 6-0 to sail through.Prior to that, Double Action walloped Manzini Wanderers of eSwatini 3-0 before going down 0-6 to Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa.
During their game with Lesotho Defense Force on Monday, Gaonyadiwe Ontlametse scored the opening goal early in the game followed by Lesego Radiakanyo with the second goal.
Bonang Otlhagile scored the third goal and Lone Kgalemang put her name in the scoring sheet with the fourth goal.
On the 75th minute, Radiakanyo scored the fifth goal and Lesego Pineng sealed the win with the last goal.
Radiakanyo’s outstanding performance earned her player of the match award.
Sundowns are at the top of Group A, having played three games and won them all securing nine points, followed by Double Action with six points.
Manzini Wanderers and Lesotho Defense Force both lost two games and drawn one, securing a point each.
Group B games were scheduled to be completed yesterday. Mamelodi Sundowns and Double Action have secured spots in the semifinals and in Group B, Black Rhino Queens are the only ones who have already qualified.
Double Action are among the seven teams competing in the tournament expected to end September 4. Winner from the participating teams will represent the southern region at 2021 Total Energies CAF meet billed for Egypt later this year. ENDS
