Phase two of the COVID-19 vaccination programme resumes today with inclusion of security personnel, those in the mining sector and the teaching fraternity who are classified as frontline workers.

A media release from the Ministry of Health and Wellness  explains that phase two roll out follows arrival of the AstraZeneca and Jonson & Johnson vaccine consignments in the past few days.

Although phase two category covers adults aged 30 to 54, the target for now will be those aged 45 years and above for purposes of managing congestion at vaccination sites, says the release.

The ministry urges all those eligible to register on the new online registration platform: https://fenyacovid.gov.bw/armready.

Those who previously registered on the old link are advised not to re-register as their registration remains valid.

The release says District Health Management Teams across the country will facilitate roll out logistics and  mobilisation of the prioritised sectors.BOPA
