BDF member dies in accident

Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of a motor vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Botswana Defence Force member in Pemba, Mozambique on August 3.
A press release from BDF says the member was part of the Botswana contingent deployed under the auspices of SADC to support Mozambique combat the threat of terrorism and acts of violent extremism in the Cabo Delgado region.
The BDF requests the public to accord the family and friends of the deceased the privacy they deserve during this difficult time. Ends
