President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has appointed Mr Boyce Sebetela to the position of chief of staff in the Office of the President with effect from Sunday.
According to an Office of the President news release, the main purpose of the position is to direct and oversee implementation of national priorities in alignment with political pronouncements made by the President.
The key outcomes of the job are, successful achievement of government priorities and alignment of government machinery as well as political interests of the government of the day, says the release.
It explains that the chief of staff is directly responsible and accountable to the President and indirectly to the Permanent Secretary to the President.
