Maun Ministers Fraternal new committee members have been encouraged to work together amicably,.

Outgoing chairperson of Maun Ministers Fraternal, Apostle Terence Sechele advised during a handing over ceremony in Maun on Friday.

He said members should stick to the constitution to avoid splitting of churches.

The new members would serve until April 2023 following their election in May this year.

Apostle Sechele further encouraged them to work with stakeholders such as the district commissioner, Ngamiland District Health Management Team and dikgosi to address community matters.

“I urge you to be transparent and accountable at all times when dealing with issues. This will help prevent conflicts which may arise,” Apostle Sechele said.

Seeking assistance from the outgoing board would also be beneficial, he added.

The new chairperson, Prophet Thato Elias, said the new board’s mandate was to unite churches and engage with them.

“We intend to embrace change and work with government to come up with solutions to issues facing the nation,” Prophet Elias stated and appealed to government to allocate more land to churches.

He challenged churches to be abreast with topical issues such as global warming, pollution and disease control. Ends
