Mopipi youth have been applauded for demonstrating great leadership skills by identifying and catering for the local clinic’s needs.

The commendation came from Vice President Slumber Tsogwane following a donation of 80 chairs and 50 boxes of masks presented to the Mopipi Clinic by the youth recently.

Mr Tsogwane said the gesture  showed that Mopipi had great future leaders given that they conceptualised an idea that translated into a tangible benefit.

Leaders, he said, were creative and visionary with the ability to galvanise people around that vision and inspiring them to work towards a greater good.

Mr Tsogwane said the youth had exhibited talent that needed nurturing.

“Learning leadership skills is beneficial to young adults as it builds self-confidence and developed life skills.

They should be used as conduit for developments in Mopipi and that is where a cooperative and a united nation begins,” said the vice president.

For his part, Mopipi’s Kgosi Benjamin Banyula encouraged the youth to keep up the good spirit they had demonstrated.

Kgosi Banyula also commended them for joining hands with government towards ensuring that the clinic had the needed resources..

However, he pointed out that the clinic needed more staff and refurbishment.

Kgosi Banyula also applauded Mr Patel Musaji for partnering with the youth on the project.

Mr Musaji donated 50 of the 80 chairs.

Area councillor, Mr Ofentse Gabalathane also hailed the youth for supporting the clinic saying the donation would make a significant impact on the facility which also serviced Mokobaxane and Kedia..ENDS
