 Parliament has heard that design review of Boteti Southern and Central Cluster water supply scheme is complete and tender documentation as well as management work for construction will be completed next month.

Answering a question in Parliament recently, Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila said the project was planned to be advertised for construction in September and tender award for February next year.

Mr Mzwinila said the procurement process was anticipated to be long due to the steps followed in complying with the World Bank procurement process for appointment of contractor.

“The project is estimated to be completed in 12 months after awarding of tender,” he said.

Mr Mzwinila was responding to a question from Maun West Member of Parliament, Mr Dumelang Saleshando who wanted to know when the project design review, tender documentation and construction supervision of Boteti Southern and Central Cluster Villages Water Supply Scheme would be completed.

Mr Saleshando also wanted to know when construction would start and when the project would be completed. ends
