Parliament elects Moatlhodi deputy speaker

Tonota legislator, Mr Pono Moatlhodi has been appointed Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly.
That follows appointment of former Deputy Speaker, Mr Mabuse Pule to the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development as assistant minister.
Speaking following the endorsement of Mr Moatlhodi, Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr Phandu Skelemani described him as a ‘old horse’ with vast experience, given that he had deputised the speaker in the 10th Parliament.
He said Mr Moatlhodi’s experience would be crucial towards effective execution of the speakership’s mandate. Ends
