President Masisi on eSwatini protests

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has said he has been in talks with King Mswati III as well as eSwatini Acting Prime Minister Themba Masuku and other stakeholders concerning the violent protests in the eSwatini.
Speaking to journalists, before departure to Zambia Friday to attend the burial of former Zambia President Dr Kenneth Kaunda, President Masisi said he would meet and discuss with his counterparts Mr Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa and Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa of Zimbabwe in Lusaka concerning the ongoing protests in eSwatini.
It has been a week since protests started in the small landlocked nation of eSwatini with demonstrators calling for democratic reforms in Africa's only remaining monarchy. Ends
