25 Jun 2021
Bodies of two Habu children who went missing on Saturday last week have been found at Nduramei cattle posts in the periphery of Habu village.
The bodies of the two children, a boy and a girl both aged four, were discovered through tracking on Thursday approximately a kilometre apart.
Gumare police station commander, Superintendent Dennis Zilawe, said the bodies were found intact and were not decomposed, an indication that the children might have died hours or a day before.
He said hunger could have been the major cause of death.
Superintendent Zilawe said the children were taken to Gumare primary hospital where they were certified dead upon arrival.
Meanwhile, the other child, who was with the deceased when they went missing, was found alive on Saturday 8 km away.
She is also four years. Ends
