Air Botswana appoints IATA representative

Air Botswana has appointed its finance director, Mr Peter Kgomotso, to the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Industry Financial Advisory Council (IFAC) until 2022. 

An Air Botswana news release states that IATA, a trade association for the world’s airlines, represents at least 290 airlines.

Mr Kgomotso, will form part of the IFAC team that plays an advisory role to the board of governors.

According to the release, the IATA team also plays an advisory role to the board of governors and its director general on matters concerning industry financial services. 

The team also works on the standards and policy aspects related to international air transport, explains the release.

It says Mr Kgomotso is a finance executive and chartered professional accountant with over 20 years of experience gained in the banking, service consulting and airline sectors.

Over the years, he has led international expansion and reconciled capital supply with demand plans for various organisations, the release says.

He has worked in Kenya and South Africa. ENDS
