MoH BITRI embark on online project
13 Jun 2021
The Office of Director of Health Services, is requesting all private healthcare practitioners and health facility managers that are registered with the Ministry of Health and Wellness to provide details of their practices and facilities, through an online form that has been emailed to them.
This is in line with an online project to develop the Botswana Health Master Facility List that the ministry has embarked on in collaboration with the Botswana Institute for Technology Research and Innovation (BITRI).
A press release from the ministry says that the online platform intends to improve public access to key information about all public and private healthcare facilities in the country.
It further says the information should include the location, contact details and the services offered by each facility, which details will be published on the online platform.
“All professional associations leaders are encouraged to publicise the exercise to ensure uptake,” states the release.
The updated Master Facility List, which is part of Health Sector Wide Strategy, is meant to assist the country in its healthcare response. ENDS
