Kanye South MP Dr Lemogang Kwape has urged a wheelchair-bound young man of Kgwatlheng ward in Kanye to keep his head up.
Visiting Mr Simon Moahi who recently lost mobility after falling off a horse, Dr Kwape advised the young man to reckon losing the ability to walk, however unfortunate, as merely a setback but not end of the road for him.
Although he said he lost it all since his legs could no longer carry him to the farm, Dr Kwape asked Mr Moahi to pick up the pieces that remained of his life and build it back bigger and better.
Dr Kwape, also Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation, shared that his own brother also suffered a similar fate some years back but never gave up on his dreams.
Likewise, he advised Mr Moahi to accept his fate, dust himself off and move on with his farm life but this time zeroing in on a less physically demanding project like chicken production which he could manage with little or no help.
He said he should be thankful that he still had a sound mind that could conceive and achieve just about anything he wished to do.
The minister pledged a wheel chair and further promised to send someone to facilitate the process of getting him a blue card and the disability allowance.
Dr Kwape has meanwhile thanked Bathoen Junior School class of 2003 for finding and supporting one of their own, in the hour of need.
He said the support would give Mr Moahi a positive outlook on life and further gave him P200 for relish.
The class donated grocery worth P500 and, was in the process of building him a toilet and completing his house structure in Mmathethe according Ms Oneile Kelepile, the group spokesperson.
He said the idea was to help him to sustain himself through rentals.
Meanwhile Mr Moahi said he was still struggling to come to grips with what had become of him. He said support from the minister and former class mates gave him strength to face the world again.
A farmer at heart, Mr Moahi wished he could be assisted to pursue farming. Ends
