03 May 2021
Kgosi Kefitlhile Kgwakgwe of Digawana has lauded the government for acting swiftly to safeguard the lives of the nation.
Speaking during a consultative meeting addressed by area MP, Dr Edwin Dikoloti recently, Kgosi Kgwakgwe said it was during trying times that life-saving decisions were critical.
He said government responded promptly to avail COVID-19 vaccines.
He said vaccination was progressing well in his area and that there were no reported negative ramifications.
However, Kgosi Kgwakgwe lamented that some people flouted the prescribed 50 people per funeral proctocol and two-hour limit.
He said everyone should be a stakeholder when it came to health issues.
He advised members of the public to accept the vaccine, saying tests and research were conducted prior to availing it for human use.
He also noted that every medicine that found its way into the country was approved by the Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) to ensure safety of Batswana. ends
