Member of Parliament for Tati East, Dr Douglas Letsholathebe has applauded Ditladi Clinic workers for a job well done during the first round of vaccination against COVID-19.
Speaking during his visit to the clinic, Dr Letsholathebe said he was happy that all the preparations were in order for the second round of vaccination, which would start soon.
Dr Letsholathebe, also the Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology, advised the frontline workers to be courteous, friendly and welcoming, so that people would not be scared of taking the vaccine.
Greater Francistown District Health Management Team (DHMT) acting coordinator, Ms Dedzi Mfolwe said the clinic was operating with one vehicle, which had not been converted into an ambulance.
However, Ms Mfolwe explained that seven ambulances had been purchased and five of them would be distributed to the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) unit, while two would be deployed in the district according to needs.
Ditladi is the only health post that has got a nurse-midwife; she said, adding that the development was most welcome.
Officer in charge for Ditladi Clinic, Mr Itumeleng Garelebane told MP Letsholathebe that the clinic also covered Patayamatebele, but on scheduled dates.
However, Mr Garelebane promised the MP that they would do all they could to make sure that the second vaccination becomes a success. ENDS
