President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi is scheduled to undertake a one-day working visit to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo today. 

According to a Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation news release, the President will during the visit meet with his counterpart, Mr Félix Tshisekedi to engage on issues of mutual interest, including exploring ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries and advancing the SADC region’s peace and security agenda. 

It notes that Botswana and DRC enjoy strong bonds of friendship and cooperation founded on shared values of mutual respect and a common vision for regional integration, peace and security in the SADC region. 

President Masisi’s delegation includes Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation Dr Lemogang Kwape and senior government officials. 

The President and his delegation are expected to return later today. Ends
