10 Mar 2021
President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi and First Lady Neo Masisi yesterday offered their condolences to Minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs, Ms Anna Mokgethi following the demise of her musician daughter, Sarona, popularly known as Sasa Klaas, in Gaborone .
President Masisi described Sarona as an exportable commodity with her music and character which government and the BDP supported.
He expressed disappointment at some journalists who reportedly called Ms Motlhagodi asking her to make a statement on the death of her child. Labelling such action insensitive, the President called on the media fraternity to put a stop to such heartless behaviour. Sarona will be buried in Gaborone tomorrow.
