Speaking during the excellence awards for the 2020 cohort, Mr Majoko said the school had to honour and appreciate the achievers for their good grades.

He said the school was proud of one pupil who attained a merit and six pupils who attained 1st class, saying the results were a testimony to the good working relationship between pupils, teachers, parents and other members of staff who ensured that supplies and food were availed on time.

Mr Majoko applauded the members of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA) for their input and for ensuring that their promise of giving awards and gifts to those who did well became a reality.

He urged the current Form 3s toemulatetheirpredecessorsand even surpass them.

He said education was the inheritance they were building for themselves and urged them to do well wherever they were going.

Hard work brings success, he said, adding that they should keep working hard and that hard work never killed anybody.

Mr Majoko also praised parents, teachers, mentors and staff members for identifying the achievers’ talents and assisting in developing them.

He advised them to continue respecting teachers and parents as they were starting a new journey in life.

Area councillor, Mr Andy Boatile said it was time follow- ups were done to ensure that such talents were not lost along the way. Mr Boatile urged them to encourage their peers to respect all leaders at school, home or around the village.

Student representative council (SRC) president, Ms Tshepiso Seloko promised that they would keep up the spirit of excellence, saying they were planning to beat the school’s 2020 JCE results.

She said they were going to work hard to bring more merits and 1st classes and that they aimed to become number one in the whole country. ENDS
