Bakwena mourn passing of queen mother

Bakwena are mourning the passing on Saturday of Mohumagadi Kwenayagae (Mmakgari Sechele), mother to Kgosi Kgari III.
According to Kgosi Kgolo Kgari, the 74-year-old affectionatelly known as Mma-Kgari, died after a short illness following her admission to Scottish Livingstone Hospital on Friday 5.
The deceased, a retired primary school teacher, was married to the late Bakwena chief Kgosi Bonewamang Sechele who died in a road mishap along the Molepolole/Letlhakeng Road in 1978.
She played an active role in pioneering the formation of Mokgatlho wa Bahumagadi ba Mokwena jointly with Mohumagadi Mma-Tumagole to address different issues pertaining to women, especially advocacy on gender-related issues.
Funeral arrangements for the late Mohumagadi are currently underway.
She is survived by Kgosi Kgari III and three other siblings. ENDS
