Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Kabo Morwaeng has refuted allegations that former president Dr Lt Gen. Seretse Khama Ian Khama was no longer covered by the state media during his charitable events.

He said all state media operations being Botswana Television, Radio Botswana and DailyNews received requests for coverage from organisations, institutions and individuals. Mr Morwaeng also said consideration for coverage was determined on the basis of availability of resources.

Furthermore, he stated that the departments had not received any request for coverage of charitable events from the former president for consideration for coverage.

Serowe North MP, Mr Baratiwa Mathoothe had asked the minister why the former president was no longer afforded coverage by the state media being Botswana Television (BTV), Radio Botswana and the DailyNews during his charitable events. Ends
