Mochudi Centre Chiefs acquire assets- Tsheole

Out-going Mochudi Centre Chiefs chairperson, Thapelo Tsheole, says the club has acquired ownership of a piece of land known as Ratswee-tswee.
Giving an update in terms of assets and liabilities at the club’s annual general meeting in Mochudi on January 23, he said there was another piece of land that was still under contention and its legality was not yet established in terms of ownership.
Answering questions from the audience on the preliminary findings on the investigations conducted with regards to ownership of the land, Tsheole reiterated that a company called Mochudi Centre Chiefs PTY LTD was formed unlawfully and un-procedurally without the powers of the football club committee.
“The company uses Mochudi Centre Chiefs brand name and we have since lodged a complaint with CEDA. They had no authority to form the company.” he said.
He, however, said they had made attempts to enquire on the land’s rightful ownership and urged the new committee to pursue the matter further.
Tsheole said the football club management had assembled a good team of players, adding that all that the squad will need was utmost backing from the management and supporters.
He, however, said they had not found an investor to partner with the club.
He also announced that Print Afrique would be the football club’s main sponsor for the next 10 years whilst another company; WUSA would sponsor players’ jerseys in the next season.
He also decried that the biggest problem with football supporters was that they did not want to keep the club’s new t-shirts, adding that such denied the club revenue because it survived on revenue from selling t-shirts.
“There is a lot of illegal merchandise printing and this is perpetuated by supporters,” he said, further urging supporters to purchase new merchandise in order to sustain Mochudi Centre Chiefs football club brand.
The AGM also included election of a new club committee.
In his acceptance speech, newly-elected chairperson, Edwin Mothulatshipi, vowed to take the club to new heights during his tenure.
He said it was prudent to work hand in hand with other committee members for the good of the club, adding that communication was a vital tool between stakeholders. Ends
