Ministry of Basic Education has engaged another contractor for completion of staff houses at Okavango Junior Secondary School after the project was abandoned by the initial company.

Assistant Minister Ms Nnaniki Makwinja told Parliament that the new contractor was expected to complete the works in January 2021.

She indicated that BB12 Investments was awarded the tender to build staff houses at the school, but the company abandoned the project due to its poor work performance.

Ngami MP, Mr Caterpillar Hikuama had asked the minister if he was aware of the incomplete and/or abandoned staff houses at Okavango junior school, and to state the reasons for abandonment.

He also requested for the construction company that was awarded the tender and what the ministry was doing to ensure completion of the project. Ends
