Kgonama farm used for pastoral farming

The Minister of Land Management, Water and Sanitation Services, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila says Kgonama farm is used for its original purpose of pastoral farming.
Answering a question in Parliament, he said the farm owned by Botswana government is situated about 20 kilometers South of Ghanzi Township.
Mr Mzwinila said the farm was leased to a syndicate of farmers for 15 years and the lease expires on December 31.
The minister said the lease was renewable at the instance of the lessee giving the lessor six months prior written notice before expiry of the lease period. Ghanzi
North Member of Parliament, Mr John Thite had asked the Minister if he was aware of Kgonama farm which is 20km South of Ghanzi Township. He also wanted to know who owns it, its purpose and the lease duration. ENDS
