A blunder by Pharo and Gobe presented a glorious opportunity for Zulu whose shot gave his team the first goal before half time. A few minutes into the second half in the 57th minute, BDF XI increased their lead to make it 2-0, as Zulu cemented his brace while Machimenyenga were slipping into their idle mode playing deep into their own back yard giving Matebele ample time to beat them with a counter attack.

Having found the weakest route to exploit, Zulu made another attempt again in the 70th minute but his strike found Abednico Morapedi in Tafic goals alert. The goalkeeper remained the only hope for Tafic and saved another volley from Kabelo Seakanyeng before Zulu sealed their win with a hat trick in the 90th minute.
