12 Oct 2020
The newly appointed Malete Land Board members have promised to discharge their duties guided by excellence and truthfulness.
Malete Land Board chairperson, Ms Onnetse Malope remarked at the beginning of their orientation in Ramotswa recently that the new board members would be guided by the values of excellence and truthfulness as they begin their tenure.
Ms Malope said they were aware of the issues before Malete Land Board and that they could only be managed if they shunned evil at all times, adding that the community would be watching them, hence the need for professionalism at all times.
She said they would endeavour to spur Malete Land Board to new heights, urging members to familiarise themselves with relevant policies and acts.
The land board secretary, Ms Roseline Kedimotse said the three-day orientation was an opportunity for members to appreciate what the board stood for, to understand its aspirations and to appreciate issues it faced.
She said the composition of the board, (young and old - in age and experience) would prove handy for the land board, adding that the older ones would help with consistency and organisational memory.
Furthermore, she said the orientation provided a conducive environment to build a team. ENDS
