Nashua Botswana on Saturday donated food hampers worth more than P3 000 and clothing to a family of 14 at Phitshane Molopo.
Presenting the donation, franchise owner, Mr Sundar Yegnaswami said after learning of the family’s struggle, they decided to extend a helping hand.
He said it was not the first time that the company donated as they once donated wheelchairs to the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
A family representative, Mr Ramakatane Mosiane, thanked Nashua Botswana for the gesture, saying they had not been able to feed the children properly.
He said he would forever remember what Nashua had done for his family, and promised that they would take good care of the food so that it lasts.
Phitshane Molopo Village Development Committee, vice chairperson, Mr Stephen Moraladi also expressed gratitude to Nashua Botswana, saying it had done a good job before God and wished them the best in life.
Mr Moraladi advised the recipients to take care of the donation and pleaded with the community to allow the family to enjoy the food. ends
