Botswana Housing Corporation (BHC) has donated ICT resources worth P45 000 to Artesia Customary Court in support of government’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) policy termed Maitlamo.
The policy provides a roadmap to drive social, economic, cultural and political transformation through the effective use of ICT.
Receiving the three computers, one laptop, one printer and one Mascom prepaid router plus one year Internet subscription in Artesia recently, Kgosi George Thwane expressed gratitude for the corporation’s quick response to the court’s request.
He said with the donation, court personnel would no longer have to travel to Mochudi to carry out office work, adding that service delivery was going to be exceptional.
Kgosi Thwane promised that the resources would be put to good use and taken very good care of.
For his part, BHC chief executive officer Mr Reginald Motswaiso said the corporation resolved to accede to the Artesia Tribal Authority’s request for computers and a printer to enable them to effectively carry out the work of serving the community.
“In the 4th Industrial Revolution era, we need to invest in ICT resources to be much more efficient in providing services to customers and other stakeholders.
We believe that this donation will go a long way in assisting the tribal authority to discharge its daily duties with ease,” he said. ENDS
