President Masisi offers Lelatisitswe family consolation

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi has hailed the late Mr Lelatisitswe Alogeng for his immense contribution to the development of Botswana.
Dr Masisi said this yesterday during a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in Letlhakane.
Mr Alogeng who was the father to Boteti East MP and assistant health and wellness minister, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe.
President Masisi said Mr Alogeng’s passing was not only a loss to the family but to the country as a whole.
Dr Masisi advised mourners to comply with COVID-19 regulations.
Kgosi Kgosiemang Diepo of Mokgobelele ward in Letlhakane described Dr Masisi’s presence as an honour and comfort to the family.
He said Mr Alogeng formed part of the village leadership and played an influential role in the development of the Letlhakane community. Kgosi Diepo said the advisory role that the deceased played was remarkable.
Mr Alogeng played a huge role in the society and was the first person in Letlhakane to breed cattle through artificial insemination, said Kgosi Diepo.
A village elder, Ms Meshack Thanke said the deceased contributed significantly to the development of Letlhakane.
The late Mr Alogeng is survived by 10 children and 70 grandchildren. BOPA
